The Voice of Jesus

One of my favourite words in the Bible is 'nevertheless'. It's a word that means things don't have to stay the same, that no matter how bad a problem is or how long it has lasted, with God there is always a 'nevertheless'. In Luke 5:5 it says: And Simon answering said unto him, Master, we have toiled all the night, and have taken nothing: nevertheless at thy word I will let down the net. The faith of Simon at the hearing of Jesus words brought about a complete change in his circumstances. Not only is there the promise of a turnaround, but we always receive abundantly more than we expect, as Simon found out when he tried to raise the net.
What circumstances have had you toiling and struggling? How long have you been waiting for the right outcome. It might be your health, your wayward teenager, your finances or even all of it. Jesus is saying to you today: "Throw your difficulties over the other side of the boat and leave them there. Your net will be full of everything you need and more when you heed my voice".
Give your life over to Jesus today. Let Him fulfil His promises in your life and see your long nights of striving come to an end.
These are wonderful words of encouragement, especially as we live in such a troubled world and seem to be ever striving for peace and calm.
