No Strings Attached

Many of us look to temporary aids to keep us feeling able to deal with life. We pull on little flawed strings with tags attached which say “eat me”, “drink me” , “smoke me” , “read me” . But these strings are not strong enough to continually bear the weight of our many and constant needs and we end up losing our grip and plunging back down on to arduous ground.

We don’t have to be constantly grasping at these little wispy bits of string when there is a wonderful God who is standing holding out His robust rope of redemption. It’s a strong, steadfast rope woven tightly with hope, love, comfort, peace, joy, healing and so much more.

Take hold of God’s rope today. Let him pull you up to a better life with Him. And when you’re up there He will remove the things that kept you needy and wanting. He’ll do this because He loves you and, with God, there are no strings attached.

Psalm 103:4
